Chapter 205 - Rumors had it that Old Mr.

Ning found his granddaughter in some remote village.

Lu Shenyuan was taken aback a little.

He was frowning from the pain and he looked baffled.

There was nobody there

Something occurred to him suddenly and he turned and looked in the lobby direction in disbelief.

He did not believe in ghosts but he was kicked for certain.

Lu Shenyuan got up with a horrible look and both of his knees were in pain.

The impact earlier was so strong that his knees hurt when he walked.

He turned again to look at the still expressionless Lu Jue.

Bothered by what had happened earlier, he did not say anything else to Lu Jue.

“Let’s go, I’ll show you the way,” said Lu Shenyuan, displeased.

Ning Zhi walked behind Lu Shenyuan again and kicked him again, hard.

Seeing how Lu Shenyuan had stumbled and dropped down onto his knees one more time, Ning Zhi finally felt a little better.

That was what he deserved for bullying Lu Jue!

Lu Shenyuan’s knees were hurting a lot and his handsome face baffled.

His brows furrowed as he looked behind him.

There was still nobody there.

He had been kicked down twice and it was all very bizarre.

Lu Shenyuan looked in the lobby’s direction again and he felt a chill down his spine.

Ning Zhi saw the fear on Lu Shenyuan and she stopped what she was doing.

Better stop while she was head.

She didn’t want him figuring anything out.

Walking back over to Lu Jue, she walked him inside while holding his hand.

Lu Shenyuan checked behind him a few times and, making sure that he didn’t spot anything, before he hesitantly walked toward the inside, his knees still smarting.

Mother Lu had figured out a lot after his exchange with her Big Brother.

Seeing Lu Jue walking in, her eyes reddened once again.

Her son knew nothing.

She should not have blamed him for anything.

Mother Lu walked up to him.

“How come you wore so little” Her son only had on his summer short-sleeve school uniform.

It rained last night so the weather was a bit cold.

This was when she noticed that her son’s pale cheeks were reddened.

She quickly reached out to touch his forehead.

She barely touched him when he jerked away.

But she could still detect the abnormal temperature.

Mother Lu anxiously turned and said to Father Lu, “Xiao Jue’s forehead was hot.

He’s running a fever.

Let’s have him checked out by a doctor quickly.”

Father Lu walked over and said to her, “Dr.

Jin had already checked him out last night.

He’s running a fever.

The servants said that he was out in the rain last night.”

“How come you didn’t tell me that our son is sick” Mother Lu gave Father Lu a blameful look.

Father Lu explained himself quickly, “You were not in good spirit and I didn’t want you to worry.

I’ve already had Dr.

Jin looking after Xiao Jue.”

Mother Lu ignored him.

She wanted to touch her son’s forehead again.

“Xiao Jue, have you had medications before you leave Do you feel dizzy”

Knowing that her son had run out into the rain and gotten ill from it, Mother Lu felt disturbed and guilt.

Lu Shenyuan stood there quietly next to them with the pain on his knees.

He could still feel the chill on his back.

Song Jinye and the other Song family member saw Lu Jue walking inside.

They didn’t look happy but, just as Mother Lu had pointed out, they were merely diverting their anger by blaming everything onto Lu Jue.

Nobody else said that Lu Jue should not be there.

Mother Lu took Lu Jue in front of the Old Madam and had him get down on his knees with lit incense.

Lu Jue looked at the Old Lady who was laying there, his lips pinched shut tightly.

Ning Zhi saw the sadness in his eyes and the blankness of a little beast who couldn’t find his way home.

By the time Lu Jue had clumsily offered up the incense to his grandmother, Mother Lu had someone brought him some water.

His lips were so dry that they were starting to crack and his cheeks were red from the fever.

Lu Jue stayed to one side quietly but he continued to look stubbornly in his grandmother’s direction.
